Another project they had today was to demo the entire wall that used to be between our bedroom and the hallway. This will eventually be an open staircase up to the second level. They also removed all the hardwood floors on the main level. I also had to take a picture of the office. I don't think I realized how awful it looks until today. I can't wait until the main floor is put back together.
Here's a before and after floor plan for the main level so you can get a better idea of what we're doing. Basically, we're moving the stairs a full 90 degrees going downstairs plus pushing back the landing stairs back a couple feet to make room for a small mudroom sort of space.
No beam today, so no roof. Rained hard again, no leaks. They're hoping to get the beam in tomorrow afternoon.

You know, they say if you get a skunk stuck in your window well to just lay a plank down there so it can walk it's own way out. This may have been good to know before the "incident". Which, by the way I find very amusing. Just toss a "busy bee" at the top or bottom, depending upon your desired path, and hopefully that will save Brian some trauma next time. Still laughing here.
