Day 300 -- Who Knew PVC Could Look So Good

We're in the 300's now. Time flies when you're having fun.

Today they put up the beadboard in the kids bathroom. This stuff is pretty cool. It's made out of PVC so it's totally water soluble. No worrying about water damage. The best part, though, is it is already a nice white so we don't even have to paint it. Sweet! I am all for less work. Looks like we are close to being able to install the toilet, sink and faucets. Yea!

Hi Jenny! It's Brooke Cummings! How are you? Hey, your house looks great. We'll have to come by and see it some time. You have to know that your bathroom idea (the subway tile, hextile and beadboard) are all things I've been looking for when we remodel our bathroom. Can I get some info from you? Where were the supplies purchased?

Hey Brooke! We sure miss you guys. Life is too busy. We'll definitely have to do a game night soon. I would also love to see what you guys have done to that cute house of yours. We had the tile and beadboard professionally done, but the subway tile is Daltile 3"X6" white glazed wall tile with white grout. I'm not sure of the brand of the floor tile, but it is 1" white hex (comes in sheets of 12"X12") that has more of a flat finish. The grout we chose for that was a pewter color. Not sure about the beadboard. I've got a question out to the guy who did it, so I'll get back to you on that one.

Thanks, Jenny! We miss you guys as well! All we've done so far is replace our stairs with hardwood to match the rest of the house and painted a few rooms. Our future plans are: replace the 20 year old water heater during spring break, remodel the upstairs bathroom during summer break, and someday... maybe someday, replace our kitchen cabinets. You can tell that our schedule is based off of Anthony's school. He should be done with his Masters this fall (hallelujah!). Thanks for the info!

Hey Brooke. Just got word from my contractor. The material is from Home Depot and the brand is called Veranda. HTH. Good luck!
