We finally got the door hardware we ordered in the mail today. The picture to the right is of the original door hardware to the house found on the main floor. I wanted to keep the same feel in the new addition so I opted to go with Emtek Old World crystal knob hardware. They feel like they belong in a 1937 house, but the satin nickel finish gives them a bit of a modern touch.The bedrooms got standard door knobs with round backplates.
Since the bathroom door was original to the house, we had to get a mortise lockset and backplates to cover the old holes. I decided to get more of a colonial backplate for it than the original art deco.The knobs were the last thing we were waiting for to finish the hall. It's great to come up the stairs and see it done.
